Pros
Few hardworking coworkers who made the job more manageable and were good to work alongside.
Cons
I worked here for several years while attending school, initially believing it would be a good fit. Early on, the experience was manageable, and the pace was more engaging when business levels were higher.
Over time, however, conditions declined significantly. As operations slowed, the company continued adding upper management roles while reducing bonuses, which created confusion and frustration among staff. Workloads remained high despite these changes, and the organization struggled to keep up with competitors in terms of efficiency and overall customer experience.
Management practices contributed heavily to a negative work environment. Employees were closely monitored in a way that felt excessive, even during routine breaks, which created discomfort and a lack of trust. Favoritism was also a consistent issue, limiting opportunities for some employees while others were treated differently.
There were also concerns around communication and fairness. Situations involving customer or internal complaints did not always allow for employees to fully explain their side, which felt discouraging. In my final year, management changes further impacted morale, and interactions often felt more intimidating than supportive.
Before applying, I would strongly recommend visiting a UFCU branch to compare the difference in professionalism, operations, and overall environment. The contrast is significant.
Overall, this was not a positive work environment. The lack of support, outdated practices, and management approach made it a difficult place to work, and I would encourage others to carefully consider these factors when exploring employment here.
I rated the CEO positively, as I have known him for years. However, greater involvement in the day-to-day operations of the HR department would be beneficial, particularly given the high level of turnover within that dept.
