Pros

Fully remote work. I have a good manager and team. Adequate pay and benefits, prior to current inflation levels. Plenty of time off. Easy to do the bare minimum with no consequences - so easy that everyone is doing it. This is also a con, because it will be unrewarding and frustrating if you have any aspirations or work ethic.

Cons

Decision-making isn't transparent and the company is constantly being reorganized. Poor communication between departments. New software and services are introduced for internal use without considering whether they are actually improvements on the software and services they replace: usually they are not. Outdated systems are left in place. The company is constantly acquiring other companies and adding their software to its offerings, but doesn't provide customer-facing teams with adequate information to support or advise customers. Some internal teams seem to have limited or perhaps no oversight, and take obscene amounts of time to complete simple tasks in systems which only they have access to: customers have been lost to this incompetence. The company has little interest in retaining or cultivating talent: don't expect a promotion. Raises are laughable. Employee feedback on the direction of the company is regularly requested, only to be ignored. 1st and 2nd tier manager feedback regarding C-suite decisions is similarly ignored. Layoffs occur with no warning and time with the company isn't rewarded. Outsourced teams have insufficient training to replace teams being laid off. Stock is tanking. Customers do not feel valued or respected, most are only purchasing from the company because they feel it has cornered the market. Interactions with customers are frequently negative as a result. Hysterically political.

Pros

Autodesk has, hands down, one of the warmest and most supportive corporate cultures I’ve ever experienced. From day one, people were welcoming, respectful, kind, and genuinely available to help. Even as a contract worker, I never felt like an outsider. I felt included, trusted, and treated like part of the team. The marketing team was an incredible group: collaborative, smart, generous with their time, and always willing to answer questions. Autodesk also has a true teaching culture. You never feel silly for asking questions, and there is a clear willingness across teams to help people learn, improve, and succeed. Operationally, the company was also impressively efficient. The technology, meeting tools, scheduling systems, and general workflows made it easy to connect with people, set appointments, collaborate, and keep work moving without unnecessary friction. Overall, Autodesk set the bar for what a healthy corporate culture can feel like: organized, human, respectful, inclusive, and genuinely collaborative. Pros: Warm culture, helpful people, strong tools and technology, respectful teams, inclusive environment, great marketing organization.

Cons

As a contractor, I only wish the experience had been longer.
