Pros

Everything is being built from scratch, so there's plenty of work and opportunities to shape the product.

Cons

There's no consideration for designers, including proper workflows or realistic timelines. Management treats design as easy and magical, with no understanding of designer needs or processes. Everyone is expected to work overtime regularly, but if you take sick days, they deduct from your salary - even for salaried positions. Leadership is egotistical with passive-aggressive tendencies, constantly demanding more and expecting immediate responses during off-hours. They make you feel guilty for not being available 24/7. The company doesn't provide proper tools - you'll need to use your personal computer, then get criticized when files aren't immediately available on company machines because they don't provide necessary software licenses. Everyone in this company experiences bullying from leadership. The only way to maintain good relations is to act submissively and echo the boss's opinions, even when pointing out obvious dysfunctions. They want Uber-level quality but provide low startup-level resources and support.

Pros

- Tech stack was recent and fun to work with - Colleagues were amazing - Challenging - Fully remote

Cons

- Management was poor, little regard for the devs and yes-men for the customers - "how difficult could it be it's a button" moments would happen a lot - Customers would be promised things that do not match with a products vision, leading to lots of bugs and rickety code. - The pressure put on the team lead was unbearable, everyone in that position has been pushed to burnout. - Lack of transparency in salaries, days off among other things. Backpedaling on promises made by voice but not written.
