The Supported Child Development program leads have limited skills in managing and training a staff team as well as delivering responsive services to childcare programs and families. The SCD program manager has created a psychologically unsafe work environment within the SCD department. Workplace bullying, retaliation, and ageism have caused disengagement and strain on employees. Recognition, acknowledgement, or even honest feedback is seldom provided to select employees.
