Pros

Base Compensation. Culture. Immediate Coworkers. Restaurant atmosphere. Lively and upbeat dining experience. Name on the front door. Sausage stuffed shells were delicious.

Cons

Everything else. Employees are only allowed 28 hours each (I wish I knew that rule before accepting an offer). Not only can NO ONE explain the bonus structure, it is basically non-existent. Food is not good. Regional managers change policies and procedures on a weekly basis. Turn over is so high that you will be stuck doing a staff member job or 2 management roles the moment you enter your location. Management training is absolutely terrible and does not set you up for success unless you are internally promoted.

Pros

The other servers were nice, and since it’s all family style, there’s less to carry and fewer orders to keep track of.

Cons

Customers are often demanding and weird. A lot of your tables are big parties, which can take up most of your shift, so if they tip poorly because the check total is high and they’re scared of it (which happens— my friend was a great server, super personable, everyone loved him, but about 30% of the time he’d get a really kind note and a garbage tip), you work all night for $30.
