Pros

-Flexible with time zones -Creative team of journalists -Ability to self-publish -Opportunity to manage a team, meet with journalists, flesh out pitches, and schedule articles -Overseas connections I found Babylon to be an interesting company to work for; I loved being head editor of a team of journalists from all over the world. Not to mention, it was a plus to be creating content that I wanted to write, but still could somehow bring back to the company's mission.

Cons

-Everything is remote due to the pandemic, so it's harder to communicate with new journalists and work with the other branches -Virtually no training (but I learned as I went) -Only editor for a while (and within a different time zone), so sometimes I felt a bit of pressure There weren't any grand cons to working here. I just figured that they could do better in training journalists and not just doing so by sending them YouTube videos or long documents to read. I think they need to dedicate one day a week for training of that week's new journalists, and go through every program (Trello, Google Drive, WordPress, Jetpack). I also would have liked a check-in on my progress every week, as well as maybe a few reviews here and there to let me know if I was on track. Also, I think they should be hiring 2-3 editors at a time because sometimes I couldn't manage to edit articles on my own. But, other than those points, I found the organization to be exceptionally stand alone and running on lots of creative ideas.
