Pros

Great individuals, opportunity to visit different clients, free lunch, nice office, good equipments.

Cons

Backbase operates as a two-entity company: R&D and Services. The Services department can be particularly hectic depending on the Hub you work for. Key points include: - Deadlines are extremely tight, often pushing employees to work very hard and put in overtime. - Compensation frequently falls short of expectations. - A significant number of employees are underpaid; the company’s own salary ranges are not consistently applied. - There is no overtime compensation. - Proper raises and inflation adjustments have not been implemented for the past three years. - The salary policy is far less transparent than advertised. - Ways of Working are either poorly defined or poorly executed. - Managers have limited authority to advocate for their teams; once the executive team makes a decision, it cannot be changed and should not be questioned. - “Flexible working hours” mostly benefit the employer, not the employee. - Promotion opportunities are limited, and even when promotions happen, salary increases are minimal. Employees are often told they must remain in the role for a while before adjustments are made—adjustments that ultimately never come. - Employees are treated as disposable. Instead of giving 5–10% raises to retain staff, the company often lets people go and hires new employees at a higher cost. - Executives act as though they understand everything and claim a strong company culture, but in practice, that culture is not present.

Pros

One of the best jobs I've ever had. Unfortunately my role got cut due to layoffs but I would have stayed here for years if that weren't the case. Great autonomy to employees, great collaboration, communication and organization. Good leadership.

Cons

Unexpected rounds of layoffs, but it was the case in tech for a while.
