A decent entry level position for University Leavers to use as a springboard to other things?

Beyond getting your first experience in the workplace after University I can’t see much room for progression here. For all their chat of inclusivity I found it quite a judgemental, stifling place to work. The Director once berated staff at a Town Hall saying that he didn’t want to see any of us smoking outside the building on our lunch break. I don’t smoke but it struck me as uncomfortable for those who do. I was working on a project for British American Tobacco Corp at the time……) It definitely wasn’t for me and my mental health improved tenfold after leaving but it got me through a rough patch financially and on to better things. That being said, some of my colleagues were very happy there.
