Pros

Many great staff members that were friendly and professional. Some great attorneys.

Cons

The Executive Director micromanages everything. She's friendly only to certain staff members and makes life miserable for those that she doesn't like. She's unprofessional and caustic. She hires managers that she know she can manipulate and pushes out the ones she knows think for themselves. When benefits increased by more than double one year, the HR manager told her that people weren't going to be able to afford to work there because of the benefits increase and her response was, "too bad, they can get a job elsewhere." Easy for someone with her salary to say about the folks that are making pennies. The morale is terrible due to management treating employees like children - no eating at the desk, no headphones/ear buds, many federal holidays aren't observed. Very rarely close due to inclement weather, which left one employee's car stuck in snow on the side of the road in a snow storm. The person thankfully had a friend with four wheel drive to pick them up off the side of the road. Benefits are sub-par at best. No short term disability. Basically, unemployment would be better than this place.

Pros

In contrast to some reviews on here, I found Banner to be an excellent firm to work for. The workload was very manageable. There was minimal managing. Often, they ask to take on more responsibilities but they were more than reasonable requests, and always provided the option to say no. Never felt micromanaged in the slightest which is really nice in contrast to other firms. Attorneys were extremely nice. Days off were always granted and accommodated. From the perspective of a job, Banner is objectively a great place to work.

Cons

Changing the remote work policy to include more days was unpleasant and felt unnecessary but otherwise, I never had any complaints about the company. The company culture skewed to pleasing the attorneys but that makes sense.

Pros

Though we were promised with pay increases, that didn't happen. Not even once during my tenure in the firm. The firm's actually lucky to have resilient employees who love their job and takes care of it even though its leadership doesn't.

Cons

While the company receives huge paychecks, it's not the same for its employees. To think we work at least 12 hours a day, we don't get paid for overtime work! Salary is awfully low, no company benefit could cover for that! Leadership, the partners, as well as the associates were abusive, disrespectful, and condescending to everyone else! They act like they're the highest beings there and all others have to worship them! They're immature and childish, and their attitude is just ridiculous! Don't even try to seek approval or acknowledgement because they'd never do that. They'll only see you as their slave and that won't change! Many people have felt offended by how they were treated and most resort to hating the firm and its leadership and quit! The turnover in this firm has the highest I've seen and most toxic culture I've experienced.
