Can be difficult to set up meeting times with everyone, at time you will have to split up meetings with mentees individually. However, this really helps with one-on-one guidance as well.
Kind and supportive community of employees who started at Barnard prior to current administration. Good work life balance. Excellent vacation benefits. Other benefits have been great but health insurance much more expensive.
Cons
Leadership is toxic and cruel. Mass firings last year that has tanked morale and we haven’t fully recovered. Very high turnover. Senior management doesn’t seem to understand how things work or what everyone does. They try to come up with solutions to issues without asking for staff expertise. Very hierarchical. Feels less like a college and more like a corporation.
