Pros

Full tuition coverage and living stipend (generous for a grad student) Professional development opportunities High quality education and opportunities to acquire real-world experience Supportive faculty and staff Year-round funding (summer included)

Cons

Work/life balance could be tricky. We were supposed to work 20 hours a week, but that varied wildly. Sometimes much more, sometimes much less. Summers could be lonely.

Pros

Positive culture, management is receptive to feedback, clear path for promotions/new opportunities.

Cons

Not many cons. Like other higher education roles, you’re paid in benefits like vacation, health leave, etc.

Pros

My team, the benefits, and tuition remission

Cons

Administration, lowering retirement, upping dining hall prices, don't care about HR complaints, pay, having to start at 8 am, having to work during student holidays
