Pros

There are employees here that have advanced rapidly through the chain. The opportunity is there if you want it. There are 3 Partners. 2 run the place, 1 is there in name only. The ones that run it are great. They are easy to work with and they want you to learn and encourage self-learning.

Cons

There isn't much structure. It doesn't really work the way you would expect an accounting firm to work. I guess this can be a pro or a con. It can throw you for a loop if you interned somewhere else.

Pros

- Specialized in governmental entities. Will not be pushed in a variety of industries where it is hard to become good at one industry. - Get to work on the entire audit process within the first year of working - After a while, you gain a ton of knowledge. You become extremely valuable to clients. - Fulfillment with the work - You will learn a lot from the managers and partners - You are not micromanaged - Managers and partners are eager to teach and help out - Flexible work environment - Casual dress in the office - Lots of snacks and drinks available for free - Laid back atmosphere in the office. Ping pong table, cornhole set, big screen TVs to watch the news or anything else etc...

Cons

- Have to be self motivated - Stressful to meet deadlines - They only work on governments. You won't get experience in other industries

Pros

Family first environment They strive to maintain a work/life balance for employees Employees are very knowledgeable and experienced in governmental accounting/auditing as that is everyone's specialty Friendly and fun culture (opposite of the Big Four cultures in many respects). Ping pong, giant Jenga and Connect Four sets, and foosball are available for breaks/stress relievers. Partners truly care for employees. They have a sincere open door policy and give employees a voice. The firm promotes employees as soon as the promotions are earned. You don't have to buy your time/wait your turn like you would at many other firms.

Cons

Typical negative aspects of being in the public accounting industry (i.e. long hours during peak seasons, travel, etc.).
