Pros

Helping patients restore quality of life

Cons

This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for. Nothing but empty promises, lies, terrible pay, overworked and taken advantage of. Massive turnover. Their core values are dedicated, fun, colorful and honest Dedicated to ensuring you can barely earn a living Fun as in working in two offices instead of just one! Colorful as in euphemistic for seedy behavior, as well as for rude, offensive language directed at you Honest as In It’s last because it’s the least important • Advertised pay is 40-80K, on some job boards it’s 80-120K • You will gross 50 and net 40, barely more than minimum wage. Also you need to spend $1200 on supplies to start most of which are already In office, just a way to profit off you. • While earning massively less then what’s discussed during your interview, you will also be told to smile more repeatedly, to which I found to be very unprofessional and inappropriate. • If you have a great month and earn a decent commission check, they clawback your target making it extremely difficult to hit the goal next month. It’s a constant cat and mouse game. Essentially you’re punished for having a good month. They do not want you to earn a lot. • After only 2 months from start day I was told I needed to cover another office. Started in Brookfield (8 minutes from home) and now need to cover Orange (50 minutes from home). They did bump my base pay 5K which barely covered wear and tear, mileage and gas, but here’s the catch. • BK 2 days a week and was in Orange 3 days a week. The target goal in Orange was so absurdly high I never had a reasonable chance to earn commission, nor would have anyone else regardless of experience. Even though they said it’s going to be so busy and I’d be tracking 100K. Also upon beginning there it was a complete mess and there was tons to catch up on, didn’t begin on a clean, orderly slate. • Then after they have you cover a second office for 4 months they will ask you why your home or original office doesn’t have a busy schedule, once again - (only operated 2 days a week for 4 months) now back to 5 days. • They will also change your bonus goals mid month without any heads up or discussion • The Sales contests are useless. Insurance works different In every state. If in CT you have little to no chance competing. • You may be terminated for using PTO • Your ability to become licensed as a hearing instrument specialist may be sabotaged through weaponized incompetence as happened to me. I was “sent the wrong equipment by the IT Staff” Never got licensed as they promised. • Your emails to upper management will routinely go ignored even regarding urgent subject matters. I was told I’d receive ample preparation to study for license exam, followed up with excitement asking when and was entirely ignored. • My co worker has been there six years and is making less than current hires for the same role, although he does an exceptional job. They do not care about you, although they may send out an email to everyone saying thanks for the 6 years for looks. • Manage your expectations and possibly you may enjoy working here. - Expect to be taken advantage of and cover another office - Expect to not get your licensure - Expect possible termination for using PTO - Expect to Earn 40K and be told smile more - Expect many promises without any follow through - Expect to have every patient ask you “what happened to the last person” and “ Why is there always someone different” - Expect zero continuing education - Expect to earn no commission in the following month of which you did (they’ll make sure you don’t) - Expect a terrible culture and a strange cast of characters Do yourself a favor and run the other way. As fast as you can.

Pros

I can't think of much.

Cons

Micromanagment or everything. Really high employee turnaround where they expect you to pick up the pieces. They offer incentives for sales but put the bar up way too high so it won'tbe met in certain areas. They force certain offices into contracts with insurance companies that are annoying and reimburse low. They tell you when you can use your paid time off and you have to find your own coverage. They send out constant mailers for free hearing tests and make no money from them. Cameras in employee areas. They don't pay enough. It's not comparable and a bit insulting. The insurance benefits are awful. You will never meet a deductible for any of the plans they offer. The WORST patients. They are entitled and needy.
