Pros

The patient care coordinator position offered decent pay for a starting position. around $16/hr. Not every location offers commissions for the devices sold but some do. The best part about the job is you gain plenty of knowledge about hearing loss and how it is treated. The best thing about this position is that it provides ease of access into the 'Hearing Specialist' career field if that is something you are interested in. within a year or two of hard work you can find yourself in training for the provider role where you will make a significant amount of money compared to the PCC role.

Cons

Can be very boring and monotonous after awhile. $16/hr isn't bad for highschoolers/college students but it is not near enough to pay the bills even at full time. I have gone above and beyond routinely for a patients care and have received very little recognition. You perform quite a lot of duties and hold a decent amount of responsibility for patient paper work, insurance, and the presentation of the entire office for how much they pay.

Pros

I can't think of much.

Cons

Micromanagment or everything. Really high employee turnaround where they expect you to pick up the pieces. They offer incentives for sales but put the bar up way too high so it won'tbe met in certain areas. They force certain offices into contracts with insurance companies that are annoying and reimburse low. They tell you when you can use your paid time off and you have to find your own coverage. They send out constant mailers for free hearing tests and make no money from them. Cameras in employee areas. They don't pay enough. It's not comparable and a bit insulting. The insurance benefits are awful. You will never meet a deductible for any of the plans they offer. The WORST patients. They are entitled and needy.
