Pros

Can often find workplaces in suburbs closer to home.

Cons

Inconsistencies throughout branches, toxic branch environment, bullies are let run rampant, no support from internal departments, processes are double handled, mothers returning to the workforce are bullied and squeezed out, no recognition for service, very few part time opportunities, will not listen to feedback of those working in customer facing roles, open and honest conversation and those who actively challenge the status quo are punished, "Yes men" are rewarded, those who do little work fly under the radar and those who carry the weight of the workload are taken for granted, the group are going backwards in terms of work life balance and diversity/inclusiveness, I could go on.

Pros

Work from home option for people not based in melbourne

Cons

Bad working culture, layoffs often and contracting culture so everyone acts in their own interest to prolong the contract in my opinion.

Pros

If you have a semblance of ability, you can progress because most people are hopeless. It’s small enough that change should be possible, if not for the complete lack of agency that is afforded by Executive to actually get anything done.

Cons

Bulling is tolerated in senior ranks and covered up by Executives. risk management is seen as an inconvenience and the remediation program ineffective at addressing root causes. the executive lack leadership maturity and tenacity needed to be a real competitor in the market. UP is the only shining light and they are right to keep it completely seperate from the dredge that is main bank. The EVP isn’t worth the paper it’s written on because the employee experience and culture is one of the worst in banking. Don’t let the lure of the ‘community bank’ fool you - it doesn't do what it says on the tin! If you work for a big bank and think it will be better at Bendigo - don’t. Stay where you are - you’re better off and the money will certainly be better where you are
