Staff are chronically overworked which has led to severe health concerns, high staff turnover (mostly without replacement, for the last year) and increasingly poor morale. Most positions are set at federal award minimum wage (significantly below rates advertised) with no scope for extra recognition and very little opportunities for meaningful development. Business has failed upwards in my tenure (benefit of being a online retailer during Covid) expanding it's scope but a refused to realign to fit the market, combined with the small business mindset of 'improvised solutions' and a number of internal and public facing controversies have caused excessive, potentially terminal business outlook. A disengaged senior management team with a poor understanding of daily operations lean heavily on ego-based decision making, be ready for a lot of unachievable expectations and the inevitable blame-shifting that follow...
