Pros

Worked with a great team at BHID. Was allowed to develop new skills and not micro managed. Directors and Senior Managers are friendly and approachable and communicated well with the team. Was allowed to purchase additional holidays and had various discounts for stores and online purchases. Throughly enjoyed working here and would recommend

Cons

Hours are 9am to 5.30pm so don’t reflect office hours plus ending hybrid working. Salaries are lower than their competitors Traffic is bad due to Trafford centre and Trafford Park.

Pros

Supportive and collaborative team culture: Colleagues are not only skilled but genuinely enjoyable to work with, fostering a positive and encouraging work environment. Strong work-from-home flexibility: The company offers a high degree of autonomy with remote work, promoting work-life balance and trust in employees. Room to grow and shape your role: There’s flexibility to take initiative and explore different aspects of your position, which can lead to meaningful professional growth. Approachable and open leadership: Management is accessible, receptive to feedback, and generally invested in team members' well-being.

Cons

Compensation does not reflect role growth: While base pay is fair for the title, there is limited recognition or adjustment when responsibilities expand beyond the original scope. Limited access to professional development: Although some training are available, ongoing learning opportunities are often constrained by budget limitations. User-centered thinking could be stronger: Decision-making can lean heavily on internal opinions or emotions rather than being consistently informed by user research and data. Focus on short-term fixes: There's a tendency to address immediate symptoms rather than invest in solving root causes, which can lead to recurring issues. More reactive than proactive: The organisation often responds to challenges as they arise instead of anticipating them, which feels misaligned with its positioning as a market leader.
