Pros

Employee discount is good. You save a lot on buying cables and chargers. And you can try new technology every day.

Cons

If you are working for Best Buy or considering it in the future, I strongly recommend you think twice! Discrimination and Favoritism are top 2 competencies that senior managers demonstrate. If you want to get promoted, no matter what you do and how hard you work, unless you have connections forget about it! I have worked for several Fortune 500 companies, but believe me, after just few months working for Best Buy I discovered that I have made the biggest mistake of my career life. Their employee satisfaction survey is a joke. They will find the reason to get rid of people who scored the store low to increase the rating for the future instead of fixing the problem. Or they just terminate the GM to blame some one vs. fixing the culture. In the eyes of Best Buy you are nothing more than a revenue generating machine who worth nothing beside the numbers !!! #discrimination , #theworstcompanytoworkfor , #Bestbuy

Pros

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
