Pros

Upper management cares about company culture: frequent department-wide events

Cons

The same upper management doesn't want to spend on employees. So many things you have to pay out of pocket..... for example you have to pay extended health benefits out of your pocket. WTF????? I guess they don't understand what the word benefit means. Note you still pay for this every paycheck even if you don't use your benefits..... And that's not all. All the things they advertise as "perks" in the job posting, you have to pay for. Coffee? You pay for it. On-site gym? You pay for it (why even have it on-site at this point is beyond me). Compensation? Below market. Sick days? You only get 60% of your salary. On top of that, 80% of current workforce consists of incompetent software engineers. As a result, features will take months to go out and codebase is complete shi!t. There are so many better companies out there... don't make the same mistake as I did and go elsewhere.

Pros

-It's a job that is available in most locations.

Cons

-The company, on a corporate level, doesn't seem to grasp the value of the talent they have. - Close ties with Citibank subvert the importance of product knowledge, customer service, and revenue for credit card sales. - Daily Performance check-ins are overbearing and myopic. - Tends to burnout motivated employees with false carrots and hollow promises. - Pay's terrible, and rides the line of predatory at times.
