Pros

Extensive experience and some nice people

Cons

Avoid at all costs, not worth the detriment to your mental health. No real training, thrown straight into the deep end and expected to know everything without any support. No room for error, despite minimal training. Horrible management system, all the managerial staff are friends inside and outside of work, so if you have any issue, you know it is being spoken about to others and there is no confidentiality. You will openly hear management discuss you in a negative light in front of colleagues and yourself. Director is dictatorial, has a power complex and participates in and enforces a culture of bulling by higher ups. It is expected of you to work outside of hours. You will be promised during interview and induction that they are open to supporting you through SQE/LPC, however when it comes to it, state they already have too many solicitors, and don’t want to pay you your worth. Had to fight to get back expenses from extensive travelling. If you value being respected at a workplace, this is not the place for you!

Pros

- Supportive management but you have to proactively engage in asking questions (naturally because of the nature of the work not every case is the same and so when you do ask additional time is allocated to support you aside from your regular supervision). - Reviews to support with meeting targets and addressing concerns with performance and developments. The company focuses on understanding individual needs and supporting the individual to meeting set goals. - Opportunity to develop your skills which would be more that doing scanning or other peoples work under supervision. - career progression opportunity regardless of education/individual background. The director and associate directors are very attentive to individuals strengths and motivation to learn on the job providing an umbrella of opportunity for employment and career progression. - Bisons learn and grows with you and so every feedback is reviewed and incorporated in the development of the company.

Cons

- limited flexible working opportunities i.e. 4 day week
