Great Place, Not the average DC Beltway company - Senior Manager Blake Willson Group Employee Review

Pros

Director level management is best in business, there is a diverse set of paths to advance in the company while also working on a contract or sub-contract. Structure looks like a normal company with branches and directorates but everyone is working with and for everyone in a servant-leadership style set up.

Cons

As with any business making most of its income with government contracts an employee needs to be flexible from year to year. BWG is pretty good at mitigating the turnover and life interruptions but it's inevitable in some contracted situations.

Pros

Working at this company has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The culture here is professional, supportive, and fosters continuous growth and development. Leadership is not only effective but also genuinely cares about the well-being and professional growth of each team member. The CEO (RJ) leads by example, inspiring everyone to give their best. Teamwork is at the heart of everything. Teammates collaborate seamlessly, share knowledge generously, and support each other to achieve collective goals. It's truly a place where every individual's contribution is valued and recognized.

Cons

Working for a rapidly growing company like BWG is exciting but comes with some challenges. Rapid growth has led to evolving roles and responsibilities and some teammates may not be comfortable with the change.

Pros

RJ Blake was not in the office very often.

Cons

I was not treated like a person. RJ Blake is a heartless, hypocritical, micromanaging force divider. Do not be fooled by his seemingly warm personality; he is a godless, stone-cold killer looking for a fight.
