Since previous reviews have talked much about the Directors, I shall not share any more details. Rather I'll talk about the culture, the work itself and how I left them in record time. Culture - It was a very clique-ish bunch during my time there and the culture reeks of toxicity. I can't find any redeeming qualities in the team apart from them being young and energetic. Coming from another boutique agency, the culture in Bless was a far-cry from what I experienced. There is no teamwork and if you're not in the clique (and the team is barely even 10 people strong), you're often made to feel left out in many conversations. This may have changed since the agency's turnover rate is so high. Work - There are many practices that are redundant and counterproductive. The weekly WIP meeting takes up more than half the day because more often than not, the discussions were not about the actual work in progress. The media monitoring practices were shoddy and highly inefficient which leaves very little time for more strategic work to be done if you want to leave before the sky turns dark. Imagine having to put in a paragraph for all the media coverage, which is perfectly fine if its a couple of articles but not when it is for every blog or social media post after an event...now you see where I am going with that. I tendered my resignation in less than 2 months with them because 2 weeks in, I developed this very deep sense of unhappiness towards my colleagues and the work that I am doing, not to mention my experience with one of the directors (no points for guessing who) wasn't exactly stellar but it was sure out of this world, in a bad way.
