Pros
This is one of the few jobs in the world where the city is your office. You get to meet new people, network with businesses and learn a lot about different cultures and social classes. This job has definitely increased my confidence in public speaking and conflict resolution. This has definitely been one of the best jobs I've had since the military and it gives you the opportunity to change things in your community for the better instead of just standing by complaining about it.
Cons
Certain individuals know their not being micro-managed and they try to hide out. Team work is the key and if one worker is slacking it makes it harder on all of us and I'm not sure if they realize that the actions of one team member is a reflection of us as a whole. Also gradual improvement is ok. Being here under previous management forcing things to happen to fast causes undue stress. While we need discipline and structure, you have to have fun and love what you do. Basically a balance needs to be established which we are working on now.
