Enjoy job, does not compensate for work - City Ambassador Block by Block Employee Review

Pros

I absolutely love engaging with the city public, checking in with businesses, and being outdoors.

Cons

They do not compensate appropriately for the work they ask you to do. For example, my job description is patrolling the city. However, if it snows, we are then asked to shovel snow for our entire shift. This can be back breaking work, and not in the job description, and we are not compensated for these efforts. They also do not provide proper cold wether gear.

Hello Current Employee, We appreciate the time that you took to complete this review. I'm sorry if the job wasn't fully explained. Yes, when it snows we are all expected to help to clean the snow off the sidewalks as quickly as possible due to the risk of injury. We are a team and work as one when necessary and that means that all hands are on deck after a snow emergency. Additionally, I'd like to apologize if your winter gear wasn't assigned to you. I will immediately contact your manager to inquire. Thanks again for helping us to improve by leaving a review.
