Pros

Children are absolutely lovely, pleasure working with all children.

Cons

Where do I start... Began blooming tree with very high hopes, staff were very welcoming, mentioned everyone here was a "big family"... first red flag that I didn't notice. Received training from a male worker there, he was absolutely great. Soon after this everything went down hill, many staff kept leaving as the pay was incredibly low for all what we have to do (18,000). Every single thing was so disorganised, senior staff did not take initiative and left around 5 newly employed workers to do as they please. MANY safeguarding concerns that were reported by staff were not seen through. Children were swapped with many tutors every other week, which can be traumatic especially for those with autism. Long story short, around 7 staff handed in their notice all at once due to the conditions of the blooming tree. They exploit you all for their benefit. Do not work here. If you think its all rainbows and sunshine, trust me you are in for a big treat. Everyone wants to leave but they hold you hostage saying you will have to pay a fee over £1000. Not sure if they are still doing this. Really just unfair for the children, as the staff try their best.

Pros

Ive never been refused, or couldn't find help when struggling to help a child in my care. While initial training is limited, it is a job mastered through practise, with help available every step of the way. The working environment is very diverse, making it easy to find people to fit in with. People at Blooming tree come from all walks of life, and various backgrounds.

Cons

Pay is relatively low, but it is a trainee Job. You are paid financially and through training that can be helpful when applying to MSc courses in the future in related fields.

Pros

The children Some staff members are amazing Nothing else

Cons

I do not recommend working at Blooming Tree (Easy Steps Ltd). The organisation is run entirely by family members, which creates a conflict of interest at every level. Decisions are based on favouritism, not merit, and there’s no real HR accountability. Staff on work visas are treated especially poorly and often have their immigration status held over them, it’s incredibly exploitative. They are expected to tolerate mistreatment because management knows they can’t easily leave. The company hires individuals with minimal training or qualifications, offers little to no proper induction, then blames staff when things inevitably go wrong. British employees are generally treated more leniently, while international staff are criticised, micromanaged, or even threatened with visa consequences. To make things worse, most of the glowing online reviews are fake — written by the owner’s family members and children to cover up the real issues. Legitimate reviews from parents and staff that highlight problems are quietly removed. If you value integrity, fairness, and genuine child-focused work, look elsewhere. This place is driven by control, fear, and appearances, not professionalism or compassion.
