Pros
There are a lot of great people at Blue Chip - people you would want to become friends with. There are plenty of options (until COVID obviously) to get together as a team, department, and company. Blue Chip values socialization outside of work.
Cons
The environment is very toxic. Middle leadership has no idea how to lead, only how to backstab colleagues, clients, and partners. Ownership is out of touch with their own reports. They hear one thing from leadership, while leadership turns around and says the opposite to the teams, then does nothing but badmouth other leaders. The aggressive culture encourages a solo approach to everything, so someone can claim success as their own, not as the team's. Blue Chip has a VERY stagnant leadership team, which is a great example of the Peter Pan principle - they are stagnant because nobody else will want them, but the Blue Chip 'in crowd' welcomes them with open arms because they afraid of being labeled not a "Blue Chip Blood Type." . I am reminded so many times of the Emperor's New Clothes that it is now a joke. Incompetence, lying, not doing the right thing by the client, is rampant here. Perpetuating rumors, griping and complaining is a daily occurrence amongst the leadership team. CYA is the key to success here. Completely unethical attitudes and actions against anyone "not like the management team." The belief unspoken except behind closed doors is that we are all shocked Blue Chip hasn't been sued out of existence. Advancement is purely political, and given to those that fit a mold of the "in crowd" leadership. This place is a self-perpetuating cesspool of egos, liars, and out of touch leaders. I was in the office almost every week up until the pandemic, and have witnessed countless examples of everything mentioned above, to the point where I no longer want to come back to the office. I will leave at the first opputurtunity, as will countless others. Blue Chip has become a turnstile.
