Pros

I think listing pros would only give away who I am. Since this is supposed to be an anonymous review, I'll say this - one of the only pros about working at Blue Sky Network are the benefits - 401k match, health insurance, and decent amount of PTO.

Cons

I'll start with the work environment. During my tenure at Blue Sky Network, I found the work environment to be non-collaborative, but rather highly competitive. In a position where teamwork may be a critical component of your job, competition in the workplace hinders success. There is also a massive ego problem, sometimes leading two people to argue quite loudly in the office. I believe it's due to the nature of the sales team, and the attitude they bring to the table. People complain about others constantly, behind their back. They degrade each other. This is not a healthy work environment for those who want to stay sane.

Pros

BSN promotes a culture of transparency and honesty that is underpinned by a general feeling that what they are building (fleet tracking technology) is important for its customers, and they are the best at what they do. This also means that the intellectual capital of the organization resides in all of the departments and across the hierarchy, from the newest engineer to the highest, most-tenured sales professional. The organization is also very flat: all employees have direct access to the CEO and other leadership. Its flatness also promotes the creation of teams that are quite diverse, consisting of representation from a number of divisions of the company. For those who are looking to join a technically driven company with a high degree of expertise across the company, this is certainly a place for you to consider working. Moreover, it is one where any employee can influence the direction of a project, a practice or the strategic direction, but this also invites individuals who have a bias to act and execute.

Cons

No downsides that were apparent after a 12-week internship.
