Pros
Chill interview, looking for quirky folks that can relate to all kids and not just brainiacs with poor social skills. Best pay you could find for an AP tutor at the time, flexible work hours, set your own schedule, submit timesheets electronically. No micromanaging or hassles from management, work as much as you like. Regular happy hours for social bonding and sharing experiences. Most students were eager to learn, cooperative, and personable, so really enjoyed helping them out and spending a little extra time beyond what was scheduled.
Cons
Was very far for me from Santa Monica, lot of traffic on freeway to South Bay but probably ok for locals. Sometimes get last minute students, cancellations, and couple times had snotty rich kids but hey you do your best.
