Good and flexible hours which is nice

Night shift can be exhausting

I was able to make decent money while studying for grad school and saving up to move. If you are a people person, I believe you can make lots of money as a waitress. You can make money by building appropriate relationships with customers and knowing how and when to say no. It helped me network and to meet many great people, both customers and my coworkers. Super diverse group of women on the staff, the oldest girl i worked with was 35. Lots of different races were employed at my location and it felt very inclusive.

The management team at my location was not the best and might be the main reason I quit for a similar job. In this line of work standing your ground when unethical things occur can cost you your job. Favoritism was bad and many work place relationships were occurring that were inappropriate to say the least.( My location was shut down sometime after.)
