Terrible place to work - Business Development Manager BookXchange Employee Review

* BookXchange is a fast-paced environment with a lot going on. The team is small, everyone wears a lot of hats, and there are a lot of opportunities to be exposed to different parts of the business. * Employees are a close-knit group. I enjoy working with the team here. * The owner has a sharp business mind and knows how to build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers. *The team is relatively small, so there isn't much bureaucracy.

* Sometimes I need to work long hours. Nothing extreme, but it's not a 9-5 job. That said, busy seasons are fairly predictable, so it's not like I'm often cancelling dinner plans. * The environment is a warehouse, so it's loud.

The employees are good people.

The entitled CEO, the long hours, the unrealistic expectations, the dirty office environment, the (lack of) benefits, the low wages, etc.
