Cons
I honestly love consulting and the work that I've had the opportunity to lead, the empowerment, the growth (in terms of salary as well ;) , the benefit packages, the company values/culture, the learning resources and great coworkers. Nevertheless, I am giving this a 3/5 because the reality is that all of this can change based on the current political state. Everything was great until the new administration took over and started to slash the contracts left and right, causing "values" to be tossed out, in favor of the new political reality. The fishbowl for the company became super tox and that became the new atmosphere that folks came into day to day. So many of my peers lost their morale, their contracts and ultimately, their jobs, many of whom were skilled individuals. I saw the bloodbath coming and left early while I had the chance.
