Pros

Booz Allen is very good about receiveing and integrating new employees and providing them opportunities to grow and excel. The company is dedicated to the development of employees and ensures everyone keeps a good work/life balance by providing generous vacation benefits and sponsoring numerous events that facilitate escapes from the daily grind. The company has a solide performance evaluation system that ensures regular feedback and the chance to improve weaknesses and further solidify strengths. The company embraces diversity and promotes events and causes that strengthen the company and the community. Overall a great company that encourages superior performance and does all it can to help you achieve to the best of your ability.

Cons

Overall the company does a great job developing employees, but there is a significant focus on contributing to business development and growth in the company. This is not a "downside" except some positions that are client focused for performance don't provide an avenue to develop the skills necessary to receive top marks on annual performance evaluations and promotions of course are determined in large part on those evaluations.

Pros

Strong mission-focused culture with meaningful work supporting national security missions. Great exposure to diverse projects, talented teammates, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to develop skills across security, intelligence, cyber, and consulting. Benefits and professional development resources are solid.

Cons

The company culture and employee experience have changed significantly in recent years. Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
