Pros

Training if the “instructor” (who’s just another agent) actually shows up and is actually knowledgeable about the subject. Good for when you are just starting out, and begin learning the business.

Cons

Toxic work environment, CEO/Broker is one of the most disrespectful, offensive people I have ever worked for. I have heard him blatantly disrespect agents in front of other peers with the most vulgar language. Brining up topics that do NOT belong in a safe work environment. Agents are pushed to write positive Glassdoor reviews, management knowing the reviews on Glassdoor were previously horrible because they were true. The database is so outdated, it still needs to run on internet explorer. The CEO is so focused on strictly numbers to “be on the top” instead of actually giving quality services. I was closing many deals successfully, but still constantly compared to other agents in a negative way.

Pros

Working at Boardwalk Properties powered by Boston Pads for almost a year has completely changed my mindset and work ethic. This company pushed me to grow faster than I ever thought possible, and I’ve learned more here in one year than anywhere else. What motivates me the most is our CEO’s story. Coming from an immigrant background and building the number one rental database in all of New England from the ground up is something I deeply respect and relate to. Seeing that level of vision, discipline, and leadership every day pushes me to aim higher for myself. The support here is real. My managers, coworkers, and leadership team genuinely want to see people succeed, improve, and win. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities, mentorship, and motivation I’ve received at Boston Pads.

Cons

Real estate is a very fast paced and competitive industry, so it can feel intense at times, especially when balancing multiple clients and listings at once. But honestly, that pressure helped me grow a lot professionally.

Pros

-Alright for brand new agents looking for exposure to the industry -Good for networking for future opportunities once you leave!

Cons

-Very aggressive attitude and loves to talk about how great he is. Will talk badly about other agents behind their back -Commission split is not good and getting paid can takes weeks and they withhold part of your pay for several months -Charges monthly "desk fees" of $110/month and that fee goes to unqualified front desk training staff who then train agents when most end up quitting anyways -Forced to make calls and do various, unrelated tasks such as "price reductions" and "gallery runs" which is just a scheme to increase their advertising presence and has no benefit to the agent whatsoever -They misclassify you as independent contractors and force you to do "extra work" that doesn't benefit you in any way
