Pros
- Fun work away day - Most people are generally nice and welcoming -Decent pay
Cons
If you need a sign not to work for Breitling UK then let this be it. Management is completely incompetent in managing employees and communicating issues. I was working as Office Manager for three months before the Managing Director decided to fail my probationary period. This news had come as a complete shock as I had absolutely no warning or prior meeting with anyone to discuss my progression or performance in the company. In fact, two weeks before failing my probationary period, I was awarded a bottle of champagne and congratulated for my hard work and efforts in organising the Company Away Day. When I asked for a reason that I had failed my probationary period- management proceeded to tell me that the job description had "changed" into something I couldn't do. I asked why I was not informed about this change and if I could adapt, but again they were unable to give me a response. The Managing Director was not even present at this meeting and did not take 5 minutes out of his schedule to discuss his expectations of me. I had no handover, no training, and no support for this role. I am truly disgusted at how this situation has been handled and my work friends are shocked at the news. I had only received praise from co-workers and my line manager so this was a very confusing time. The Managing Director needs a serious wake-up call if he thinks this behavior is professional or acceptable in the slightest. Don't apply for this role if you have a backbone and are able to stand up for yourself (you will probably fail your probationary period too).
