Pros
1. Cutting edge technology 2. Company on the upward curve 3. Company aims at 50,75 and 90 percentile for Base,Bonus and Stocks respectively compared to its peers. 4. Work life balance is unparalleled 5. Run as a lean organization with micromanagement makes it efficient and run like a well oiled machine. 6. With the takeover by AVAGO the higher management has become more transparent in its proceedings and decision making with increased accountability and the onus laying upon the business units to perform or perish. 7. Junior and mid level engineers can breathe a sigh of relief as the pay has considerably risen since take over as they are no longer passed over by the senior management for stock allotment and bonus distribution.
Cons
1. The business philosophy of the new CEO results in a tight cap over the R&D spend which has resulted in fewer projects. Innovation though not stifled currently for the exisiting product lines entering new markets or sub-markets is completley discouraged. 2. Broadcom Corp prided itself in the intra company knoweledge and IP sharing but Broadcom Ltd is averse to any notion of IP/resource sharing across business units. This has resulted in duplication of various tasks&flows across the company.
