Pros

There are a handful of coworkers who are nice and the building is nice.

Cons

- Mgmt. is all over the place. From micromanaging, to not knowing process, to letting go of employees without thinking it through. - Mgmt. loves to point out when an employee is wrong vs. helping lead and support. - Employees are drowning in work due to lack of appropriate resources to do the jobs needed. Working 12-15 days for weeks on end and with no appreciation (but yelled at instead) is driving people to quit. - Even though people are working extreme amounts of overtime during the week, they are expected to work during the weekend to help "catch up". There is no life/work balance. - Mgmt. constantly over-promises to clients, causing employees additional stress and forcing them to work late nights and weekends.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry that you didn't have the best experience as a Bulldog, but we do wish you well with future employers and endeavors. We're not sure when exactly you worked with us, but there have been numerous changes in the past few years to help with some of the issues described here. We have put measures in place to help set-up employees for success, including regular one-on-one meetings with their managers to talk through problems and have a better, more real-time knowledge of challenges employees are encountering, and also have implemented an improved performance management process to provide two-way feedback. These were identified after we received great, candid feedback ,such as this. Since then have made great strides to improve the culture and organization while we strive to achieve the ideals of the "Irresistible Workplace." We appreciate your time, candor, and contribution in leaving this review.

Pros

- Dedicated client/account team that is filled with strong marketers who understand the clients' business. - Technology team that is top-notch in its understanding of marketing technology, data and how to extract insights that lead to action. - A creative team who "get it" when it comes to B2B. The copywriters are some of the best I've ever seen. - Pragmatic and smart approach to strategy and planning.

Cons

- Awareness: more B2B organizations need to stop being enamored by coastal and/or "big name" agencies and simply become aware of Bulldog

Pros

Bulldog is one of the absolute coolest places to work in Austin. The team here is genuinely committed to solving really complex problems for B2B companies with highly creative, highly technical solutions. From an organizational standpoint, it's cool that they've put equal focus on building two practice areas: creative + technology expertise. Seems like most agencies only get one of those right. From a cultural standpoint, it's very genuine and transparent. The company has a weekly meeting every Friday morning where cool topics are presented by internal and guest speakers. The blog, community volunteer initiatives, sports teams and most recreational activities... all are organized by employees. The offices are about to see a big makeover (but they're already cool) and the company is hiring tons of new talent right now. New leadership also seems very energized to grow the company in a thoughtful manner. Really excited to see where this company goes in the next few years!!!

Cons

The computers and other technology could use an upgrade. But I think this is something that the company is working on. Communication & collaboration can be a little challenging for remote employees (not sure that's unique to Bulldog though). Sometimes there are going to be long days & a little work on the weekends; but that's not because the company forces anyone to do that... it's just a hard working crew of people. Bulldog also isn't a place for people that need lots of process. Most of the work requires smart, experienced people that know how to jump in & get the projects to the finish line. People that aren't self-starters or need lots of direction & supervision will really struggle at Bulldog.

Aww thanks for sending us some love with this great review! Always good feeling and encouraging to hear that our employees are having an awesome time while here. The updates to the office space have been completed, and now the whole building is getting a face-lift. Tech gets updated on an as needed basis and many machines have been replaced or upgraded to fit the needs of our employees. Based on employee satisfaction surveys we have been more in the know with these concerns and have been able to address them accordingly. We appreciate your honesty with the cons and are always looking for ways on how we can get better. Glad to hear that overall the experience has been great, and please feel free to let us know if you have any further suggestions or feedback.
