Pros

- The grads they hire are great people, do end up becoming good friends. - Drinks after work sometimes. - Marketing team are amazing. - Annual ski trip if that's your thing.

Cons

- Management are in way above their heads, and clearly refuse to see the downfalls of their actions. - No training, just shadowing other graduates/trainees, and then blame you when you don't know their processes (that they never taught you). - Try to come across as a company with modern recruitment methods, when in actuality it is as old school as it gets. This wouldn't be so bad if they owned it. It's all about keeping up appearances. - Those who work their way up in the company to leadership level seem to get corrupted on the way up, which is a real shame. Watching nice people turn nasty in pursuit of power is one of the worst things I've seen here. - Individuality and uniqueness is not something that is celebrated here. - You won't get a full hour lunch without being threatened with the sack. - Trainees are constantly fired without good reason, swiftly replaced, and never spoken of again. You feel like nothing but a number. - Speaking up about being mistreated by those higher up is shunned and shamed. You do not have a voice. Either you are a push over, or you are fired. - "Working hours" are 8:30-6, but if you work these hours, you aren't dedicated enough. It's more like 8-7, which has unfortunately become massively normalised. - The only incentive to work here is the annual ski trip, which is great for the founders as they are avid skiers, but for those who aren't - well, you get welcome cookies and a free water bottle! Honestly I could go on, but this company has wasted enough of my time already.

Pros

Free instant coffee and water available to all

Cons

I regret to say that my experience at Burns Sheehan has been overwhelmingly negative. The lack of business acumen among management is startling. Decisions seem to be made without any consideration for long-term impact, resulting in a chaotic atmosphere that stifles productivity and creativity. Incompetence is rampant, and the culture is surprisingly immature. Instead of fostering a collaborative environment, there’s a pervasive sense of micromanagement, akin to a boiler room agency. This has created a stressful workplace where shouting and aggression are far too common. Unfortunately, there is little to no investment in employees. Professional development is virtually nonexistent, leading to a significant lack of earning potential. It feels like the company is more interested in maintaining control than in nurturing talent. Overall, this environment has taken a toll on my mental health. I cannot recommend Burns Sheehan to anyone looking for a supportive and growth-oriented workplace. I actually wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy
