Pros

- good base salary - comprehensive on boarding/initial training schedule - social culture, always going for drinks etc - good office location - little perks like free breakfast and occasional early finishes

Cons

- they advertise hybrid but discourage or don't allow you to actually work from home - however, directors are always allowed. - on target earnings they promote are unrealistic. hardly anyone makes that. - poor management, no guidance and training stops after the first two weeks. they think training after that is sufficient with 'ask me questions when you struggle' rather than actual planned sessions or structured help - no proper progression plans or meetings to know whether you're on track for promotion - working hours are too long - you get no work life balance. everyone's productivity dips after 5pm so why we stay for another hour is beyond me. -they advertise early finishes to be a regular thing. I experienced merely a handful in my time there. - they advertise that they fill roles within a month. it's more like 4 or 5. account managers lack urgency, don't send cvs or chase clients and then get annoyed when you haven't made them money but somehow it's still your fault. - one rule for directors and another for everyone else. they get long lunches, can have midday drinks, work from home days, don't have to hit stats or targets and it's fine. if anyone else did it, they'd get punished. - one director that either has full blown arguments or inappropriately flirts with his girlfriend in the middle of the office every day. one word: unprofessional. - aggressive managing director. sometimes his approach has value but most of the time it's bullyish. he needs to learn how to manage people with different styles depending on who is in front of him. - clique culture. if you're in you'll be fine. if you're not, you'll be gone. doesn't matter how good at your job you are. - almost 10 people left during my time there stating poor management and a bad culture... couldn't agree more.

Pros

Free instant coffee and water available to all

Cons

I regret to say that my experience at Burns Sheehan has been overwhelmingly negative. The lack of business acumen among management is startling. Decisions seem to be made without any consideration for long-term impact, resulting in a chaotic atmosphere that stifles productivity and creativity. Incompetence is rampant, and the culture is surprisingly immature. Instead of fostering a collaborative environment, there’s a pervasive sense of micromanagement, akin to a boiler room agency. This has created a stressful workplace where shouting and aggression are far too common. Unfortunately, there is little to no investment in employees. Professional development is virtually nonexistent, leading to a significant lack of earning potential. It feels like the company is more interested in maintaining control than in nurturing talent. Overall, this environment has taken a toll on my mental health. I cannot recommend Burns Sheehan to anyone looking for a supportive and growth-oriented workplace. I actually wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy
