Pros

For the majority of my career it was a stable job with clear goals. It was clear what I needed to do when I arrived and, at the time, over time was plentiful and optional.

Cons

The last year of my employment there HR took a firm grip of the day to day minutia and made it miserable for everyone. No more 15 minute breaks, HR monitors you in the building, they time your restroom breaks, they revoke parking spaces, and require bureaucratic leaps to get anything done. They started demanding that we misreport what had become required overtime, started clocking us the moment we walked in and left the building, etc. Low relative pay because they have you in a non compete.

Pros

Remote work flexibility, opportunities to earn commissions, and valuable sales and customer service experience.

Cons

Low base pay compared to performance expectations, heavy focus on metrics, bonus structure changes, frequent policy changes, and occasional system issues that impact productivity. Low base pay relative to expectations, excessive focus on metrics, frequent write-ups for minor issues, inconsistent coaching, and a workplace culture that can negatively impact morale. Employees may feel micromanaged even when meeting performance goals, creating unnecessary stress and reducing job satisfaction.
