Pros
Great coworkers, flexible remote working, lots of vacation time, good insurance.
Cons
Since I was switching industries coming on board, I discussed with my manager during the interview process my concerns about getting lots of extra support as I transitioned to this new career path. She promised she would make sure I got adequate support and make sure I could succeed there. In reality, my training consisted of showing me how to do stuff one time without explaining the why and where it needed to happen, teling me to pull up her folder of outdated training materials to look it up for myself after that. Allowing my trainer to take vacation three times since I started with nobody as her backup, gave me all of the projects nobody else wanted to do with no support to ensure I could get them done- including making me responsible for two of the largest sales managers in the department. In fact, the only time I ever spoke to my manger was to be fussed at for doing things wrong. She would get onto me for not asking her questions and missing deadlines, but get annoyed if I asked her to walk me through things to ensure they are done correctly.
