Pros
While my tenure at CD was, unfortunately, short for personal reasons, I cannot fault the company. I had a genuinely good time there. I experienced the following pros: - Clear lines of communication - A welcoming atmosphere - A management team that is encouraging and keen to nurture talent - Clear strategy for development from management - A cohesive culture lending itself to many laughs - an emphasis on employee wellbeing (such as being given 90 minutes for lunch to allow time for gym sessions) - a collaborative and supportive environment
Cons
While some of these are unique to my personal preferences, I experienced the following cons: - occasionally conflicting advice from different sources on best practices - a long work day (8:30-18:00) - projects are not distributed/allocated to individual consultants, so it’s essential a race to find candidates. I have no idea whether this is an industry standard but I really struggled to keep pace with my colleagues and find candidates for my projects. That being said, when I opened up to the team and management about my difficulties they were extremely helpful. I was given sessions on how to improve my searching skills, and my colleagues took time to help me during their own busy schedules, despite it not being their responsibility to do so.
