Pros

Field Tech's explore and learn all of Northeast Ohio, serving many small to medium & for-profit to non-profit companies while maintaining their network, server and application assurance for these individual sites. In the Office the opportunity for experience can range from simple computer & tablet hardware & software troubleshooting to scaling complex network automation & monitoring systems. The opportunities here can be endless depending on how motivated you are learn new applications and such.

Cons

Poor Organization Structure, Communication and documentation. However since I started these things have greatly improved and were still being improved upon before I left, but these things were difficult to overcome at the start and it never gave me a reason to give up and blame the management for poor job performance.

Pros

Passionate MSP for primarily nonprofits in the Cleveland area Encourages growth and education, offers to cover certification costs. While very fast paced, there’s a lot of praise for the lightheartedness in the work atmosphere. Very pleasant folks to work with, with a general “realness” that’s quite rare in other workplaces. Continually updates cybersecurity procedures and remains cutting edge.

Cons

Sometimes the procedures and project/ticket hand offs from one department to the next can be a little blurry. However, at the time of my departure, this was a work in progress and being better defined.

Pros

Certification cost reimbursement. decently flexible around life events, easily accessible, opportunities to network with non-profit/charitable organizations.

Cons

CGB is company with potential that has theories about doing things that don't work so well in practice resulting in losing big clients to making the lives of those beneath management hellish. Inventory and Shipping & Receiving tracking was virtually non-existent resulting in countless headaches and wasted time. All the while the tracking on work orders/tickets was convoluted causing small work orders, that normally only take 15 to 20 minutes, to take in excess of 40 minutes to complete creating a situation where you're falling further and further behind on the other remaining tickets while other yet come in.
