Good compensation, Director level and below are great people to work with, large company with room to have a breadth of exposure to different areas within insurance
Cons
To get anything of substance done, you need to be able to navigate and convince the bureaucracy at the top to agree to your course of action which is tough considering top level management turnover; heavy focus on cost instead of value; corporate strategy: reduce and minimize expense ratio by any means necessary; upper level management does a poor job of framing corporate strategic platitudes as meaningful and exciting to lower level employees: "keep your head down, focus on your work, and don't worry about the future"
