Pros
Salaries are somewhat competitive with the marketplace. Work-life balance is encouraged within my business unit even though it is not ultimately realistic. There are very few opportunities for executive positions (AVP and up) versus our insurance peers.
Cons
New management has created a top-down, lead by fear style that has discouraged creativity. Excessive growth is being pushed at the expense of profitability. Leaders with no experience in Specialty lines have been given too much control over this segment. This has been the top-performing segment but many quality employees are turning over as a result of mismanagement by the field.
