The promise of work and actual work is extremely irritating, especially when they continue to hire new people. - Retail Representative CROSSMARK Employee Review

Pros

The paychecks are on time and pay is weekly. I enjoy working with little or no supervision in a variety of stores. People in Field Support are very helpful once you get through the wait time to have your call answered.

Cons

You are usually hired full time and after a few months you are dropped to part time losing the benefits you paid for health; dental as well as vacation pay and sick pay and personal days. With the cost of gas it is ridiculous that they expect you to drive @ least 40 miles out and 40 miles in before the pay mileage. The system they use to pay you mileage is not an accurate reflection of how you route and drive your route. It's a sham designed to ripp off the employee for the benefit of the company. There are no pay raises but there are pay decreases (as I was told "for the good of the company"). Continual griping by your supervisor even when you are busting your tail for the good of the company. Lack of communication with upper management. Lack of hours and they still hire new reps. all the time even though they could give more hours to the hardworking dedicated people who make Crossmark successful.

Cons

an honest example of your day, we will pay you for 15 minutes to run up to a Walmart. For that 15 minutes we will expect you to read instructions for any new changes, run in and check in with a manager, find our product, count our products exactly, go to the back room and find our products (which is by far the longest step), count our products in the back exactly, bring our products to the front of the store, take pictures and answer questions, remove all old products, stock by date, take pictures and answer questions. If this takes you 25-30 minutes, which is probably a more accurate accounting, we will still only pay you for 15. If you are lucky there may be another job that day, but if not you will be expected to waste your gas, drive to the Walmart that we demanded, and work that 15 minute job alone. In that case we will be demanding that you take an hour out of your day for $3.00.
