Pros
Good pay, benefits, and opportunities. Lots of room for upward movement if you want it. Can be done in a relatively short period of time. Good relocation package and retirement can't be beat.
Cons
The job is not condusive to family life. The management training program is 6 months of living in hotels with no guarantee of placement upon completion. Most transportation managers work about 60 hours per week. Has a political corporate culture common in most big businesses.
