Pros

Puts customer first n always trys to make customer happy Always put customer first Always try to anticipate wot customer wants from products the manager thinks he know.

Cons

Rarely sells current stuff Rarely implements current technologys Manager held on too tight and often asked the impossible, sumtimes even insisting on ridiculous things becoz he thought it was right way but never sends anyone to learn the current way 2 do things. Customer always ended up with a cheap solution that cut corners and then when it din't work rite we swallowed cost 2 fix it. Great for the customer that don't want to spend money, rubbish for profit margin I bet. Morale generally low, nobody was truly happy but stayed bcoz when owner was out of office or on hols it was gr8 place to work. Moment he came in it became a witch-hunt tho and it was always 'who will Greg pick on next'. He would always have 1 favourite who could do no wrong (whoever was newest) and would then project his insecuritys on rotation to whichever person last tryed to tell him "no" bcoz his idea was wrong or outdated last.

Pros

Good amount of holiday allowance and no work during bank holidays.

Cons

The owner of the company is a nasty bully and control freak, unprofessional and likes to pick favourite members of staff. Talks negatively about colleagues behind there backs infront of the rest of the team which creates an uncomfortable work place atmosphere. Members of the team are unable to work without the owner interfering and criticising every move, the place feels entirely different when the owner is not in though and almost becomes an enjoyable place to work.

Pros

The location was all that came to mind. There really are no pro's to working for these people.

Cons

I can honestly say this is the worst place I have ever worked. I lasted a few weeks after I found the owner a complete arrogant, slave driving moody idiot. I was constantly patronized, breathing down my back and never listened to good sense.

To the person who posted this review, I apologise how I may have been, or appeared to be in the past, and believe things are very different now. It saddens me that this is how I came across to you. As you say in your review, it was a long time ago. Its not easy getting feedback like this at any time, however I appreciate the feedback and can only apologize for how i may have acted in the past and how i made you feel whilst you were with us, even if it was for a short period of time. I and the business have been on a Journey over the last several years and can say that in the early days i wasn't the best of bosses, albeit that i was trying to deliver the best service to our customers and this will have come across as me being controlling and moody at times, most probably not the best communicator and not being clear with my instructions. Again i can only but apologise. I should have realised much earlier on that trusting in the team and let them look after the customers, rather than the other way round. Letting go of the technical side of things has been hard and is still a hard one to do even today. Doing the technical work is the easy part in any business. Managing the customers expectations and the team is the harder part, especially when its all self taught and gut feel and muscle. However having a great team now on board is really helping me let go and allowing me to focus my efforts in the areas that matter. I am somewhat hurt as to the statement of being a slave driver, as i don't expect any of my team to have to do anything that I wouldn't have done and didn't do. Within the IT Support environment its never a 9-5 role, so there are times to work late and times to start early, its part of the job. Our business has always been a busy one and I'm sure that has never helped either. Again i must apologise for coming over as a slave driver and I would hope that my team do not see me as that now. Having run this business now for close on 20 years , I do feel we have turned a corner over the last few years and I do see that we now have a great team all working towards the same common goal. We have a great management team that are allowing me to focus my energy into the right areas and allowing the team to grow and flourish. It was never my intention to have anyone feeling this was the worst job they had ever had, so again i must apologize for my actions, as i have worked in some pretty awful places in the past and one of my main reasons for setting up in business was to have somewhere that people could come to work and enjoy themselves and not as you have mentioned from your comments above.
