Pros

Interview to hire process took some time, but status was communicated to me throughout and even through shelter order due to covid, company kept commitment to hire me and train me remotely. Friendly employees many of which who are willing to help you learn and understand concepts, as well as answer your questions.

Cons

Due to shelter order, have not had the opportunity to meet my colleagues which has made it more challenging

Pros

Company was very flexible during the hiring process was seamless, took care of immigration activities on my behalf and always kept me updated, was given opportunities to learn new areas of the business and contribute right away to the company, also flexible during Covid. Co-workers are always a joy to work with and ready to help out at any point.

Cons

There are always a lot of projects happening and changing priorities

Pros

There’s little to no positives here

Cons

This has been one of the most challenging work experiences I’ve ever endured. I was initially drawn to the company by the promise of a potential acquisition, which was expected to result in a substantial payout. However, instead of an acquisition, a private equity firm became the majority owner, and the acquisition never materialized. Following the takeover, the program tied to that potential payout was discontinued, leaving little incentive to remain at Campfire. The health insurance offered was both expensive and subpar. The 401(k) plan lacked any employer match, making it an unattractive investment option, and there was no bonus structure in place. Flexibility within the company was severely limited, with little allowance for personal availability. There was an ongoing expectation to ALWAYS be accessible, which became exhausting—especially given that the team was intentionally understaffed. At this point, I’m unsure what could improve the situation. The turnover rate remains high, largely due to the relentless pressure to perform.
