Pros

I've been working at CIRA for a while now and it is a place where I have built my career. CIRA is a true purpose driven not-for-profit organization. I wanted to share a few ways the company has impacted and elevated my career in the tech industry. - Their focus on learning and development is not like any other company I have worked at. I've had the opportunity to change career paths and move up, while getting the support from my manager by aligning my development plan to a training plan. - I've had the opportunity to present at industry events and gain industry/product knowledge through my day to day work. I also have the freedom to make an impact outside of my normal work. I've joined different projects, mentorships and committees that I believe make a difference in our community as a whole. - I feel trusted and valued. We work hard but have a trusted working culture. There is a unique program allowing us to work remotely/globally for 4 weeks a year. It's a fun perk to explore different cultures and creative pursuits.

Cons

There is nothing I would add here. This is a great place to work and you can feel an intentional approach to the employee experience.

Pros

The office is really nice. There is always free food. Cool benefits. Free coffee and drinks. Very relaxed environment that makes you question your life choices.

Cons

Getting to the office is tough. Parking is really expensive. Talent equals nothing. Management make the rules and break them. Lots of pointless meetings. Change takes forever. HR hands are in everything. You only get ahead by socializing with the right people.
