Sadly it looks like we’re too late to make a positive impact on your impressions. However, our engagement surveys – sent annually to all EMEA employees and administered by a neutral third party – suggest that actually people at Canon do recognise and appreciate both the senior management support they get and the opportunities that exist: in 2015, 76% said they trusted their manager and 62% agreed that Canon is making the changes it needs to be successful in the future. There is also plenty of evidence to suggest that we successfully recruit, retain and motivate some truly exceptional people. However, Canon isn’t the same place it was even 5 years ago and it will doubtless be different again in 5 years time – and that’s what makes Canon an interesting and challenging business to work in.
